About Us
Ergosew, Inc. is an
innovative company whose mission is dedicated to "changing
the way the world sews". President and founder,
Dr. Colleen McDonough, is a chiropractic physician who specializes
in ergonomics and joint rehabilitation. She is a nationally
known lecturer who has developed innovative exercises and
techniques to help sewers eliminate upper body pain, sewer's
elbow, sewer's thumb, and chronic lower back pain, as seen
in Sew News Magazine, July 2003. She uses state of
the art tools and equipment to help you organize your sewing
room and help you get fit as you sew.
As
anyone who has ever done it knows, there are times when you
want a project done, you spend
hours in front of your sewing table working on everything
from the most basic stitch, to the tiniest little detail.
When you finally pull yourself away from it to admire your
hand work, your shoulders ache, your wrists are stiff and
your lower back is in spasms, and even your feet can hurt!
We
want to improve your sewing and crafting experience. Our goal
is to provide you with strategies and products that will keep
you refreshed and healthy so you can continue to sew for as
long in life as your heart desires.
Dr. Colleen McDonough, has assembled
a selection of products that is perfect for those of us in
the world who love to sew or quilt! Many of these products
would also be a great benefit to anyone who does crafts or
even someone who sits at a table and does work of any kind.
Our website is continually being
updated with new and exciting ergonomic products for our Sew
Fit product line. Please check back often!
