Ergonomic Sewing Experience

Spending hours in front of your sewing table or sat at a desk using a computer often causes aches and pains in your neck, shoulders, back and wrists. Sometimes these pains can even extend to your legs and feet. This all comes down to our posture as we are sitting down in front of our sewing machine.

Ideally you should enjoy every second of your sewing and crafting experience. There are a number of strategies and products that can keep you refreshed and healthy so that you are able to continue to sew for as long each day as you so choose.

Our forearms should be able to rest flat on the table in front of us. An adjustable height seat is one of the most important things to consider. Also, having a foot rest can help to ease discomfort as far away as in our shoulders.

There are a wide range of products that we can use to help us avoid pain and discomfort while we are doing what we love. These inlcude things like special braces to help us maintain a good posture as well as ergonomic chairs and feet rests. We could even wear a cervical collar to protect our neck.
